Local Sailors Performed well in the 61st Skate Class National Championships Sailed on Geographe Bay - WA

Local sailors Ken Davies and Lachlan Schroder were runners up in the 61st Skate class National Championships. Missing out by one point they are keen to remedy this at the 62nd Nationals to be held at Toronto Amateur Sailing Club later this year.

Other locals, Norm Ryan and Kevin Williams won the Veterans division while father and daughter team, Peter Scott and Tegan Scott took out 5th Place.

Ex Toronto Amateur Sailing Club Flying Ant Sailor big chance for Olympic Gold in Rio.

"Mark [Langford] actually taught me to sail as a kid. He’s about three years older than me and got me on board to crew for him on a little Flying Ant out of Toronto because I was small. He got me into sailing and it’s something I’m still liking." - Will Ryan
